Logo Comparison

The first obvious similarity is their names. UMBC. CMU. The names share three letters of the alphabet. That’s pretty darn close.

What’s even funnier is that my mom keeps confusing the two names. Ha :P

Well, enough of making fun of my mom.

Look at the logos.
The two logos signify that the two schools are comparably smug.

CMU - doesn’t contract their name. They like to show off their name in its full glory.
Smug +1.

UMBC - while it does contract its name, adding the tagline “An Honors University in Maryland” gives it mad points for being smug.
Smug +5.

In the end, CMU can back its smugness up, because, well, it’s CMU. It’s freaking Carnegie Mellon. They eat small public schools for breakfast.

UMBC should be ashamed.
