Here’s the inevitable post.
Often I find myself comparing CMU with UMBC - after all, I’ve been at UMBC for the past five years.
You might say, well, CMU is a rich, powerful private university located in the midst of a densely populated city, while UMBC, well, what the heck is UMBC?
Well, UMBC, which stands for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is a mid-sized public school located in the outskirts of Baltimore County, and close to BWI Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
It’s a mid-sized campus with fairly mid-sized, rotund student bodies, like myself.
One would think that UMBC is a world apart from CMU, but it really isn’t. I’ve noticed things that UMBC handles a lot better than CMU, and vice versa.
That, and there are many more ridiculous similarities… so keep an eye out for these posts!
