Hello there,

My name is Jan, and I recently graduated from UMBC with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. I’ve now moved on to grad school, at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

In the past few days I’ve meticulously documented all the strange things I’ve encountered around Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, and this tiny room I get to call home for a year.

I think some of it’s worth posting, mostly as a personal memory box for all things fun / sad / annoying / whatever that happens in grad school.

I’ve never had a blog before, mostly because I’m a terrible writer, and also because i’m awfully poor at keeping updates.

Hopefully tumblr will help me keep my posts short and to the point, unlike this one.
